Together with a team, you ensure that persons to be secured (VIP) can live, work and relax safely at home and abroad. Therefore, personal security is aimed at preventing any attack. But if necessary, you are also there to repel or withstand the attack.

To ensure safety, you try to rule out as many things as possible, and the locations to be visited and the routes to be driven are thoroughly explored.
Within your team you change roles every day; one day you are a preliminary scout, the next day security driver or personal security officer. Observation is very important; you are alert to deviant behavior of the public and you immediately sense whether a dangerous situation is imminent.

In doing so, you need to protect your VIP anytime, anywhere, including when he/she plays sports or goes out to dinner. Personal security has become a hot topic. As a result, the need for qualified and certified close protection operatives, both men and women, is growing rapidly, and there is also more and more money available for personal security.

The Role of a Close Protection Operative is as varied as it is challenging. As a Close protection Operative, you could find yourself protecting celebrities, politicians and diplomats, visiting dignitaries, sports stars and even royalty.

The Close protection Operative often need to deal with high pressure and sometimes-dangerous situations, which require in-depth knowledge and training.

This Close protection course is intended for foreign residents who are employed or working for embassies, private individuals, stock market listed companies and required a Close Protection training.

The course will use a minimum of classroom lectures with a maximum of realistic and practical field training exercises to provide a full understanding of close protection operations and its training program is based on the proven training methods. The close protection course includes a Final live exercise and will contain in town - exercise in realistic every day situation.

Taking place over 7 days, our close protection courses will not only prepare you to completely understand and meet the expectations of all clientele under an array of different environments and scenarios, but will also ensure you stand out to potential private security employers and individual clients as an close protection officer.

Skill prerequisites

• Be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English or Dutch.
• Drivers licence (valid).
• For this qualification learners must be a minimum age of 18 years old.
• Must have of reasonable health and fitness level.
• A clean CRB/DBS check (less than 3 months old) prior to attending.

If you are in possession of a Dutch diploma Beveiliger 2 you can apply for the exam Persoonsbeveilger (SVPB). If you pass you will receive the recognized Dutch Certificate P.

Certification
At the end of the Close Protection course the students will receive a certificate of proof of attendance and a recommendation.
